CLINICAL INTERVIEW

A clinical interview is the beginning of the relationship between psychologist and the client/s. It involves a semi- structured interview in which firstly informed consent is discussed then the reason for referral, and exploring pertinent information relevant to the case conceptualization.

OBSERVATION

Observations is part of the assessment procedure, mainly looking at behaviour, nonverbal communication, affect, speech, etc. It assists conceptualizing a client.

PSYCHOMETRIC TESTS ASSESSING:

Mood related disorders (depressive disorders, and bipolar related disorders), Cognitive/ neuropsychological and Personality pathology

ABOUT ME

My interest in psychology began in high school during an art lesson on surrealism. I began to realise that I had looked at the world very concretely, and that the human mind was layered.. Everything I did, felt and how I have reacted to my personal world had meaning.

So much of our behaviours, thoughts and feelings are based on what we have had uniquely available to us tangibly and emotionally, and our worlds are in fact subjective and not objective, no two people experience the world the same.
